Dancing with You…

Probably you are thinking of a dance partner 😉 …but this is a different dance. The new year is coming and you might be wondering how you are going to do it, you don’t want to miss this chance of a new beginning.
God has a few dance steps for you to learn with a different tune that would take you through the year…….

Dancing with You

A dance is slow or fast, sweet or sad depending on the music played. We move together in tune with it….our steps in rhythm with the beats. I want to move in tune with You Lord, as Your word plays its sweet tunes in my ears………

As David danced with joy in praising You; not minding who was there but his heart so into You…..into all You had done and how great You are. I dance to a slow beat with you…my hand in Yours, my eyes closed ’cause I trust myself in your arms, I smile and I’m relaxed with much confidence that You won’t let me fall but keep leading me lovingly in the dance. Its like we are all alone; I want to dance with You Lord.

‘Cause Dancing with You to me means following your steps in every way even with my eyes closed meaning I trust you completely. It means letting you take the lead in life; this dance of life. I may step on Your feet but when You teach me how to dance with You….I’ll be perfect. It’s Just You and I; Like a daughter dancing with her Father.
My dance is with You and the tune is Your word as a melody in my heart………

Ps 119 vs 105 ‘Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.’

2 Sam 6 vs 14-15, ’14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment.
15 So David and all the people of Israel brought up the Ark of the LORD with shouts of joy and the blowing of rams’ horns.’

Is 30 vs 20b-21‘he will still be with you to teach you.
You will see your teacher with your own eyes. 21 Your own ears will hear him.
Right behind you a voice will say,
“This is the way you should go,”
whether to the right or to the left.’

Psalm 17 vs 4-5 ‘ 4 I have followed your commands,
which keep me from following cruel and evil people. 5 My steps have stayed on your path;
I have not wavered from following you.’

If you are still asking how to dance with Him….simply listen to the tunes He plays in His word and step to them. We dance FOR Him in praise but now we are dancing WITH Him which is more intimate. This dance brings great hope…so smile and Dance!!!! Let Him lead you into the overflow!

A Wonderful Christmas…

A Wonderful Christmas... coming your way.

A Wonderful Christmas… coming your way.

Isaiah 9 vs 1-7

In the midst of our yummy turkey and delicious meals, among friends and family or celebrating with one’s self….let’s remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. The true meaning of Christmas may be lost to some but not all.

Christmas has been told to us in so many ways. The story of Scrooge, who was known to be a stingy man; teaching us we should be givers. Stories of finding someone to love at Christmas and finding a family to share Christmas with. There may be others but these three seem like the totality of it: Love, Family (and friends) and Giving.

A true example of this is God Gave His Son, God made us a part of His Family and His Love for us is the reason for this.
Long ago, a child was born, a king who came to tear down the curtain standing between God and us and enable us to be fellow heirs with Him. He didn’t come as a child born into a royal palace to reign as is befitting for the King of Kings but came as a prince moving around like a pauper.

I wonder how Christ celebrated His birthday, I’m sure to Him it reminded Him of what He was here to do and the time left to do it. And here we are now, celebrating His birth because what He came to do He finished it all. And for that reason we can jump, shout and proclaim Jesus is Lord boldly!
For as Rick Warren said in his book ‘the purpose of Christmas’, Christmas is a time of Celebration, Salvation and Reconciliation to God. A time of remembering God’s love for us. Because without the three in one there wouldn’t be christmas.

What’s your Christmas like? What are you remembering and what are you passing through? To some Christmas could be a time of pain; a reminder of someone lost. Just receive His gift and allow great Joy….the likes you have never seen before come into your heart.
Luke 2 vs 10 ‘but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.’

Merry Christmas!!!!!!

The Delayed Wedding…

The Physical
The candle burnt her and she screamed in pain, frustration at her current situation setting in. She sucked on her thumb as her teary eyes stung with pain from using d ‘light’ to read. She had to get out of this hell hole they called a country. Her only way of escape was through Jite and he was yet to come back from America. He kept telling her the same thing , ‘Honey I’m setting a place up for both of us….you just have to be patient….give me sometime please.’ Sometime now equaled to four years since she had been waiting. She wanted to scream…..but it was late at night and she didn’t want to wake her parents who constantly hammered on her to move on…… Her friends even mocked her…..that thought alone made her get up from the table and walk to her bed. She picked up the pillow, finally giving in and screaming into it. She was deeply troubled.

It was moments like this that made her tempted to heed to their advice. Lola met Jite seven years back at a church event….it was close to love at first sight. Lola hadn’t imagined loving someone the way she loved him and she smiled reminiscing about those days. She could hardly wait to spend time with him, they had the love everyone wished for….the love she had hoped to have as a little girl and even greater. But now… She thought as her smile disappeared, now she was willing to just let go for awhile and have a little fun with her friends. She had thought about it and decided when he would finally come she would end her affairs and marry him. Yes! It was a great plan.

She had been faithful long enough, keeping herself all this while for him. Hadn’t she “tried”……. She could remember the fine guy that had approached her the day before… that moment her body suddenly felt jittery and she had goose bumps; she was drawn to him. That was where she would start from….. She got up and put off the candle and went to bed ecstatic about her decision. Little did she know that as she  finalized her’s, Jite had done the same with his plan, booking a flight back home.
Lola started spending late nights with her new ‘boyfriends’; different ones every night who promised her what ever she wanted. Her parents were now happy with her and she was living the life! It was on a day, when Lola went on with all her activities, that the unexpected happened. It was late in the night that she returned home and her parents gave her the most devastating news…..
‘Mum what do you mean Jite came here?’ She asked, sure her mum had clearly gotten ill.
‘What I said Lola……Jite came! He waited hours for you but …you didn’t show….’ Lola snapped at her asking why she hadn’t called her but she herself knew her phone battery had died earlier in the day. She bit her nails as she thought of what to do.

Early in the morning she drove to where he was lodging in a hotel and went up to meet him; thinking of the lies she would say.
When she knocked at the door and she heard his voice her heart took a leap. She took in a sharp breathe when he opened the door. Her Jite! He was here. She rushed to hug him…….he felt good with his firm body and strong abs. She stepped back to look at him and wanted to kiss him when he turned his face. It was then she noticed he was not as excited as she was at their meeting.
‘Baby, what’s wrong?’ She asked. When he looked at her she saw it in his eyes.
‘I know all you’ve been doing Lola……’ Lola shook her head; ashamed at what she had done. She tried telling him she did wait for him….but all was to no avail.
‘Lola I’m sorry…..I know the years have passed by, but was it too much to expect you to still be holding on to our love ? I promised you I would come back but you didn’t believe me. You didn’t trust me enough….’ He turned his back to her. Lola tried not to see the finality of this, she prayed inwardly for him to take her back. But his next words killed her.
‘I don’t know you anymore… have changed….just go on, continue with your life and forget coming back to me. It’s too late.’ He said, his face devoid of any emotion.
Her life was over! She might as well be taken to a psychiatric home….she was dead.

The Spiritual……….The Last Days

The earth is screaming pains as that of birth and it’s cries all over the world heard.
The last days, the last of suffering on earth for the saints to be taken up but the beginning of great pains for those who continue in sin and refuse Christ.

The day draws near; when His Spirit shall be taken away. The blood of mortals would be paid to gain immortality and the spirit of death would not be taunting them as before.
You ask, ‘Where is He? He is late in coming’.  You may think He won’t come again…..Do not be deceived ;for what He has done is given you more time to get your house in order. Do not mistake His patience for folly or inefficiency. His word is forever settled…..
Look around you, the signs of the end evident: Rampant homosexuality, earthquakes, tsunamis, increased death rates…..
‘…..Can ye not discern the end of the times?’ Matt 16 vs 3. Yesterday there was merriment, eating and drinking just like the days of Noah, Matt 24 vs 39, that is how it would be again……..
Keep in mind that your yesterday may not be your tomorrow.
His voice is still calling out, His arms wide open to receive as many that would come to Him; please run into them.

Sometimes the troubles of this world seem so hard to bear…..that we want to take a break and relax. We may even be tempted to join the world, but let’s hold fast to what we have;

John 14 vs 4 Rev 3 vs 11, be prepared; 1 John 2 vs 28……. and Watchful Matt 24 vs 43-44.

If he doesn’t come today or tomorrow or in the next five years…..would you still live for Him tomorrow?

1 Peter 4 vs 7, ‘The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear mined and self-controlled so that you can pray.’

There was a knock on my door. It was firm but yet very subtle and I wondered who it was. Summoning up the little courage I had I opened the door and was shocked to see what I had abandoned sometime ago in front of me. It smiled  enticingly at me. I didn’t let it in and frantically slammed the door against it.

Leaning against the door; my heart close to beating out of my chest. It felt like a horror movie.
“Where had it come from?” I questioned myself, “How did it find me?”  It knew my address and came knocking. I waited a few minutes and checked through the peep hole of the door, something I should have done earlier. It was gone.
The next day was just the same, each time it visited the desire grew stronger to let it in. But I held my ground though weakly. The moment came when I was too weak to push against it and welcomed it in. I enjoyed the few moments I had with it, bringing pleasure I had long forgotten.

Each time it left I broke down in tears at my lack of will power and strength to stop it. I was determined to overcome but weak to carry out my action plan. I wait for the day when I would overcome Temptation.

I asked myself how it had happened. “How could I be tempted with this? How could I have fallen?”
It was like a flash back, my thoughts taking me to my recent victory and how I had relaxed while not noticing the enemy sending in my weakness. “Then why didn’t You help me????” I cried out loud falling to my knees.

It dawned on me then that I had a many a chance to escape, the door had always been locked and I could have let it remain that way. I pondered on it and said a prayer, ‘Forgive me Lord, and give me strength over my weakness. Please alert me at times of temptation and give me a way of escape, in Jesus name….Amen.”

James 1 vs. 13-15,’13 If we are tempted by such trials, we must not say, “This temptation comes from God.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But we are tempted when we are drawn away and trapped by our own evil desires.
15 Then our evil desires conceive and give birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.’

1 Corinthians 10 vs. 12-13,’12 If you think you are standing firm you had better be careful that you do not fall.
13 Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.’

Matt 26 vs 41, Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak’

“Equip yourselves with prayers and be ready at all times…for one never knows when the hour of trial comes…”
