Hello everyone and welcome to a glorious month; one of great exploits. 🙂
I remember I put up a post at the beginning of the year about dancing with God;if you missed it I implore you to check it out.
For me its been a roller coaster and I’m practically on my toes trying to keep up ’cause I’m sure I have stepped on His toes a couple of times this few months and decided to lead the dance, but now I have come to realize the essence of crucifying the flesh, to live by His Spirit, in this journey.
I would tell you some of my posts, Burning desires, temptation….were more personal. I found myself falling more to the things of the passions and desires of my flesh. And now I pray each day for grace.
This time I feel the need to write about dancing in the Spirit. It just came to me and I wondered what dancing in the Spirit meant.
When Samuel anointed David, the bible said the Spirit took control of him from that day forward. And I’m sure from then on the Spirit enabled him to do certain things.
How much room are we giving the Holy spirit to be in control? Are we still struggling or giving him a free hand? (What the bible said about walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh) Gal 5 vs 16, ‘so I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.’
Dancing with God is following Him as He leads us, but it also entails following the lead of His Spirit therefore the title ‘Dancing in the Spirit’. I don’t mean literally, though that could also happen, but spiritually.
We need the Spirit of God to Dance with God.
Gal 5 vs 25, ‘Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.’
Lord help me be more yielding to Your Spirit….Amen.
